Describe a wonderful romantic dateOne Valentine's Day, when our boys were young, my sweet hubby created a lovely stay-at-home date. It took place in our old, unfinished basement! The most unlikely of places, but that made it special. He made dinner for all of us. The boys got to eat in front of the TV, a big treat. Tim and I ate at the dining room table with candlelight. After dinner, Tim got a roaring fire going in our wood stove in our dingy basement. He set up a cozy place for us to sit, cuddle and enjoy the fire. I am sure that doesn't sound all that wonderful to most people. It meant a lot to me though. To be clear, he has also taken me to some crazy expensive restaurants for dinner for Valentine's. Somehow, they don't mean as much to me. Of course, I appreciate a lovely meal out; any time I don't have to cook is good!
I enjoyed going through some old photos of my art. I was looking for something with a heart. I love my heart-shaped altered book! I am learning to love my art more and more. I am learning to be less critical of it more and more. I am learning to love myself more and more!
I like that the artic cold has moved out of Ontario! It is actually supposed to get above freezing next week! So exciting!
Happy Valentine's Day. May your life be filled with love!
