LOL, school/office supplies make me happy.  The brightly coloured sticky notes make me unreasonably happy.  I found some that are star-shaped and couldn't resist them!  New crayons and markers are also irresistible to me.  Crayola now has a box of 152 colours!  Think how much fun you could have with that!

I like that I got to go to Ripley's Aquarium last week with three of my grandchildren and other family members.  It was a good day.  Everything worked out so nicely.  We took the train to Toronto, which is so much more relaxing than driving.  The kids loved the train ride.  Doing something for the first time is so exciting.  

Even though I am never excited for summer to end, I am enjoying that the mornings are a bit cooler.  It seems that we are done with the intense heat of summer.

    I love sticky notes, too! Just like so many of these kinds of things, I used them more when I was working, but still they are fun. Your train ride into Toronto with the grandkids sounds wonderful!

    Oh, your Mandala is beautiful. Good to hear you all had a nice outing to the aquarium.
    I had a look in my office supply stock and it is so well stocked I do not need any 'back-to-school' supplies, though those 152 crayons sound nice.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I have felt the need to play with very bright and vibrant colours of late.  This mandala I made a few years ago but it was calling to me again.  I have been loading it up with stitches to add texture.  I realize these brights aren't everyone's taste.  Since I am making it for me, I am not about to worry about what other people like or don't like.  Playing in this field of colour makes me happy!
