Slow Stitching Sunday
I love the silk ribbon stitching that I added to this butterfly. Stitching with silk ribbon is luscious! I have to figure out what to stitch in the centre of the silver spots. They seem a bit boring at the moment. Maybe some beads. It feels like I have played with my beads for a long time.
The temperatures dropped yesterday. I guess my days of stitching outside are done for this year. I hope I am wrong. I would love one more day of stitching in the sunshine! It feels so good.

Beads would work or maybe a little ribbon flower or embroidery. This butterfly is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour butterflies are so pretty, Angela! Nothing boring about them at all. Is the silk ribbon what forms the flower bud shapes in the top wing corners? I haven't done any stitching with ribbon like that, but I love the effect it gives!
ReplyDeleteLoving your butterfly!
ReplyDeleteI agree that something is needed in the middle of those to circles.
ReplyDeleteInstead of a bead, how about a sequin? Or an individual stitch made with your favourite silk ribbon?
Apart from that, the butterfly is perfectly elegant.
Wishing you some more lovely sunny days.
