Princess Bubbles Creates

I adore color.  This vibrant color just makes me happy.  I can't wait to stitch into these!  Maybe I will import these pictures into Kaleidoscope Kreator too.  That could be interesting.

Printing on a gelatin plate is rather fun.  The feel of it is so great!  I spent three blissful hours print making yesterday at Sandra Spagnuolo's workshop.  Fun stuff!  Pictured above are some prints I made.   They are a good start for something.  They aren't really wonderful on their own.  I guess I can cut them up or stitch into them or....

I did this collage last week at Sandra's studio.  Such fun!  The colors are much prettier in real life.  I think this piece has potential.  Actually, I have color copied it and have started stitching into the color copy.  I love when the ideas keep coming.

I have never posted so infrequently as I have this month.  I do apologize.  I will try to get back on track for February.

I took a photo of the weed/flower Queen Anne's lace.  I imported that photo into my Kaleidoscope Kreator software and created the snowflake.  I printed it on silk charmeuse and then I beaded it.  The beading really is minimal but I plan to make these journal pages into a quilt - wallhanging.    Actually, I may still add some more beading - I am not sure.

I apologize for not posting for so long!  Honestly time seems to have sped up.  I feel like I blink and week is gone! I created this piece at a workshop with the fabulous Sandra Spagnuolo.  It is always so much fun to take a workshop with Sandra. We started with small pieces of cut up magazine pages.  We glued them down and then added some permanent marker and water based marker.  Then we added layers of fluid acrylic.  At this point I found my piece too dark and so I added some watercolor crayon in lighter colors. I am actually pleased with this piece.  I finally feel like I can do layers!

I ordered this fabric on etsy last week.  It is absolutely gorgeous sari silks.  It came all the way from India so fast!  Great service.  I just can't wait to play with it!  It is absolutely luscious!
