I heart Macro

There is so much beauty in this world.  It is such a delight to seek it out with my camera. I am linking with http://image-in-ing.blogspot.ca/ http://anenglishgirlrambles2016.blogspot.ca/ http://mersad-photography.blogspot.ca/2016/04/lunchtime-in-blagaj-through-my-lens-nr-36.html

My happy little 'garden'

Oh my gosh I had fun creating this pop up page in my altered book.  My funky little flowers have been felted, stitched, burned and more.  Truly a mixed media page. I am linking with http://ninamariesayre.blogspot.ca/

Journal Page

I had fun with this one.  Even though I used colors that are not my favorite I still like the way it turned out.

Work in Progress Wednesday

I am calling my March bead journal finished.  I absolutely love the way it turned out.  It is going to be a cover for an altered book.  I had so much fun doing this one. I am linking with http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.ca/ http://www.supermomnocape.com/

Thankfully I have more than one camera as my batteries were not co-operating with me.  This isn't a bad capture considering I had to use my little old camera. Some Experimenting

Image
I enjoy experimenting especially when I get pleasing results.  This piece I created the butterflies from some of my macro photographs.  I painted the background fabric.  I stitched the butterflies down with metallic threads.  Fun! I am linking with http://ninamariesayre.blogspot.ca/

Journal Page

I am rather proud of myself that I have stuck with this journal project so far this year!  I guess because it is only once I week I able to stay on top of it.  I had fun adding the wings to this page.  The quote is "Until you spread your wings you never know how far you can fly".  I had trouble getting a white pen to work and in frustration gave up and used a black sharpie.  It would have been nice to have the whole quote in white.  Oh well.
