Princess Bubbles Creates

I added  a part of a doily to the upper right corner and some more beading to this piece.  I am thinking it is time to get moving on my Sept. This is my first attempt at the Lock stitch.  Why do my stitches never look like Sharon's at  http://pintangle.com/  ?  I do highly value being an individual and rarely do I want to be just like someone else so I guess I should celebrate that my stitches are unique!  Yah that's it!  Yay!  Me!  I learned a new stitch today!

This is unusual for me.  I usually go for lots of color.  However, I love the sculptural quality to this.  It is my mother's old Bible.  It is clearly well loved and used.  It holds a special value for me now that she has passed.  I may have to import this photo into Photoshop to add some color to it. I am still working on my August CQ block.  It is close to being finished though.  I am not completely happy with the upper right corner but I do think I have a solution for that.  Hopefully I can finish this up fairly quickly so I can get started on my September block! This is my first attempt at the Interlaced Up and down buttonhole.  I wasn't particularly successful with it.  The substrate I worked on was miserable to use.  It is an interesting stitch and I definitely want to try it again.  My thanks to Sharon B at     http://pintangle.com/   for the instructions.

I love pansies!  Since I was a small child they have been my favorite flower.  I think this is a pretty cool shot.  I am linking with http://www.shinethedivinecreativityisaspiritualpractice.com/ again this week.  

I had this piece done weeks ago but misplaced it and only just found it.  It has been a blur of a month and I don't remember the name of the stitch that I learned on this piece.  I am pleased with the way it turned out though!
