I had a number of positive comments about the large pink beads I used so I decided to keep them.  I did add some small purple beads which I think makes it more interesting.  There isn't a ton of stitching on this piece so I may return to it and add more at some point.  For now, it is done. This fabric started out white.  I stencilled it and then did a wash of lighter blue over it.  I did some embroidery stitches with fusible thread and then adhered transfer foil to it.  The experimenting was so fun! I am linking to http://ninamariesayre.blogspot.com/

This journal is absolutely bulging.  I should probably stop using it as closing it is increasingly difficult. 

My April CQ block is finished.  This is the last block needed to finish a quilt.  It is going to look good when all the blocks are put together.  It is always fun to have a crazy quilt finished but it is not my favourite part.  I need to figure out what the rest of my blocks for this year will be.  I am linking to http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com/ http://www.esthersquiltblog.com / https://www.quiltfabrication.com/

The top photo is my newest piece in my water series.  The substrate is crumpled copy paper.  I have added gesso, paint and ink.  The paper is fairly durable but it did rip in a bit.  I don't mind that at all.  I also couched down some funky yarn.  The bottom photo is my piece from last week.  I added some stitching with a metallic thread.  I am linking to http://ninamariesayre.blogspot.com/
